Info: The 845Vibe team collected over 200 combined measurements of biometry and surface conditions using Globe Observer. The on-the-ground measurements that were provided became part of NASA’s Global Ecosystem Dynamics Investigation (GEDI). Tree height is the most widely used indicator of an ecosystems ability to grow trees, showing the importance of the data when collected on the ground as well as from space flown satellites. This mission utilizes these open sourced observations to estimate the gain or loss of biomass of a region as well information on its land-atmopshere carbon flux.
